Cancer, one of the leading causes of death in a year, leaves a lasting impact on the lives of many. The need of the hour is cancer care centres providing standardised and subsidised care for patients across the world. Watch Dr.Shrikhande,a pancreatic cancer specialist,as he dives into the world of oncology and shares snippets from the evolution of cancer care, laying down the foundation for the future ahead of us.
Dr. Shailesh Shrikhande is the Deputy Director at Tata Memorial Hospital. He is also the Professor and Head of the Division of Cancer and Surgery, and the Chief of GI and HPB Surgical Oncology. In 2005, he became the first Asian to be awarded the Kenneth Warren Fellowship of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA). He has been invited for over 80 lectures in India and abroad. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
