Dr. Shailesh Shrikhande gave a lecture at the Royal Society of Medicine in London for the event ‘Cancer control in low and middle income countries: Time for action’ on the 2nd October 2017. In this, he outlines the common cancers in India and talks about the work of the Tata Memorial Hospital, particularly the improvement in mortality and morbidity rates. Dr. Shailesh Shrikhande also discusses the difficulties in delivering complex cancer care in low socio-economic settings.
